Office Lipstick 101
Applying a bright lipstick is a quick & easy way to look pulled together because the bold shades require so little other make up. But before you run to the office make sure you take these tips & tricks into consideration!
Lipsticks thats look gorgeous outdoors can be a little shocking under flourescent bulbs. Test each shades cubicle-brightness factor on your hand prior to applying it, or try one of these favorite approved shades; Revlon super lustrous lipstick in Kiss me coral, Rimmel london lasting finish matte lipstick in 110 or Wet n Wild color in stop light red.
Make sure you check mirrors throughout the day and constantly touch up! Nothings worse than that ring around the mouth. Unless you want to have to worry about reapplying all day, avoid lipglosses and creamy gloss like lipsticks, instead look for matte formulas or any creamy lipstick with a matte finish. These are less likely to bleed and will last longer.
If whipping out compact and lipstick seems a little awkward for you in the office, opt for a richly pignmented lip pencil, like Tarte lipsurgence matte lip tint. Only the inner lip area need touch ups after coffee and lunch, you wont even need a mirror!
